Peaks Pool

Peaks pool provides a totally rural alternative to the urban waters previously described. Reputed to hold a quantity of large tench the difficult part of fishing this water is getting the bait "through" the vast numbers of roach of varying sizes. Not over fished mainly because of its location it provides another link with the past being an old-fashioned farmers' pool in exceptional surroundings. Trees providing cover both to fish and anglers surround the water itself however, there are also numerous submerged trees in the water to snag the unwary. Despite the difficulty of access and angling it is well worth a visit if only to submerge oneself in rural tranquility with the chance of a specimen tench.
